Release and Waiver of Liability

In consideration of being permitted to participate in this potluck event organized by Women of the World Network (the “Organizer”), I, the undersigned participant, understand and agree to the following:

1. Voluntary Participation

   I acknowledge that my participation in this potluck event is entirely voluntary.

2. Assumption of Risk

   I understand that participating in a public potluck event may involve certain risks, including but not limited to risks associated with foodborne illness, allergic reactions, or injury. I voluntarily assume all such risks.

3. Food Safety and Allergies

   I acknowledge that while the Organizer may provide guidelines, the Organizer does not control or supervise the preparation, handling, or ingredients used in food provided by other participants. I understand it is my responsibility to inquire about ingredients and potential allergens directly with food preparers.

4. Waiver of Liability

   I release and discharge the Organizer, its officers, employees, agents, and volunteers from any claims, demands, and causes of action arising from or related to my participation in the event, including any claims for illness, injury, or other damages, whether arising from the acts of the Organizer or other participants.

5. Compliance with Rules and Regulations

   I agree to abide by the rules and regulations set forth by the Organizer and understand that failure to do so may result in my removal from the event.

6. Governing Law

   This Release is governed by the laws of the state in which the event is held.

I have carefully read this release form, fully understand its terms, and agree to it voluntarily. I acknowledge that by agreeing to this release, I am waiving legal rights, including the right to sue, which I may otherwise have against the Organizer.
